This map shows the approximate boundaries of Farmland Preservation Areas, Farmland Preservation Zoning Districts and Agricultural Enterprise Areas in Wisconsin. It is intended for general reference, rather than site-specific uses. The data was obtained and compiled primarily from local sources.

Please note that the farmland preservation plan areas and zoning districts on this map reflect only those plans and ordinances that have been certified since July 1, 2009. A lack of a farmland preservation plan area or zoning district for a particular town or county on this map is not indicative of that town or county’s farmland preservation plan or ordinance certification status.  In addition, the map only reflects plans and ordinances that have had both text and map certified since July 1, 2009. The map does not include farmland preservation plans or zoning ordinances that have had text or map amendments certified under the new law.

This dataset is not an authoritative source of information about legal land ownership, parcel boundaries, or public access. DATCP does not guarantee the accuracy, applicability for a particular use, completeness, or legality of data provided by other sources.
